Bangkok is full of cafés with style, great coffee, and delicious food — perfect for both brunch and Instagram photos. Here are two of my favorite spots where you can enjoy a cozy atmosphere and capture the perfect shot.
(Un)Fashioned District
This little gem didn’t go unnoticed. It’s located in a narrow alley, a bit far from the soi, but it’s definitely a must-visit. It’s a café, a vintage shop, and a restaurant all in one. I specifically went there for a coffee-sipping and laptop-working vibe, but I also checked out the food options.
They had pasta, steak, different kinds of burgers, and a few salads with avocados and various types of protein. They also offered a nice coffee selection, including dairy-free options — I love my oat latte! Several matcha drinks were also available for matcha lovers.
You can enter from either door — one leads through the vintage shop, which I discovered when leaving. It even has a second floor dedicated to men’s clothing. The café also has a second floor with tables and floor cushions, though it was closed the day I visited.
Under the staircase, there’s a small indoor playground — perfect if you’re visiting with kids and want them to have fun while you enjoy lunch and a chat.
The vintage shop itself was great, offering a wide range of shirts, boots, and shoes (including heels). Prices ranged from around 1,400 THB to 6,000 THB depending on the item. Everything felt special and thoughtfully curated.
Service was impeccable, and I would definitely recommend visiting. Prices are similar to other stylish Bangkok cafés — my latte was 100 THB plus an extra charge for oat milk (my little treat).
Ve/La Studio Sukhumvit 49
I was heading out for brunch but arrived too late for the place I had planned to visit, so I decided to pivot and try Ve/La Studio, a spot I’d heard about before. I thought, “Why not?” and oh, I’m so glad I did.
They have several branches, but I went to the one in Thong Lor. Outside, there’s a big Vela cup display and two outdoor tables, which were perfect for those who enjoy sitting outside and catching a breeze.
The bar is downstairs, while the main seating area is upstairs. There’s a cute photo booth, a small wine display, and every table has a little silver lamp, a unique design touch.
The café is known for its coffee, blends, and matcha, but I went straight for the food.
Dishes I Tried
Avocadocado
Sliced avocado, tomato salsa, and two eggs cooked how you like.
Studio Platter
Two eggs, smoked salmon, bacon, mushrooms, hash browns, and toasted focaccia.
Prosciutto, Pistachio, and Burrata Focaccia
Hot, slightly crispy, soft, and full of flavor — just like Italian focaccia.
Prices are on the higher end for a Bangkok café, but you definitely pay for quality and elegant ambiance. It’s perfect for a relaxed brunch or a long chat after work. There are also window tables if you enjoy a view while sipping your coffee.
